This programme is intended for learners aged 16 and above. Moreover, it targets individuals in vocational or technical fields, employees in construction, engineering, ICT, hospitality and related fields, and apprentices and entry-level professionals.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold MQF Level 1 English or equivalent OR 

  • Demonstrate equivalent basic literacy in English (A1-A2 CEFR)

  • Use appropriate and accurate English in technical contexts

  • Follow workplace communication and safety conventions

 

Knowledge

  • Identify technical vocabulary used in construction and surveying

  • Understand basic report structures and workplace documentation

  • Recognise grammar used for instructions and descriptions

 

Skills

  • Communicate technical information clearly in English

  • Produce short written documents and reports

  • Deliver simple oral communication in professional contexts

Assessment Methods

Assessment methods include both formative and summative methods, such as oral presentations, listening and response tasks, reading tests and writing tasks. Students must achieve a minimum of 50% in each assessment components in order to successfully complete the programme. Resits are available within the same academic cycle.
